Geraldine A. "Gerri" (Sistik) Zigarovich

Geraldine  A. "Gerri"  (Sistik) Zigarovich, age 67, of Harrison City, died on February 24, 2024 in the comfort of her home in the arms of her husband.  Born on December 16, 1956, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Ann Joan (Kundman) Sistik and the wife of Vincent Zigarovich Jr for almost 45 years.   Gerri graduated from Serra Catholic high school in 1974 and from CCAC South in 1976. She spent her career taking care of others.  She met the love of her life when she was a nurse’s aide at McKeesport hospital.  She worked at McKeesport hospital for 42 years when she decided to retire in January of 2020.  Spoiling her 5 grandchildren was her favorite pastime.  She also loved taking trips to Ligonier, watching fireworks at Renzie Park, shopping, tending to her berry bushes, baking, and enjoying stuffed grape leaves and honeyballs at International Village every year.  In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Erin (Ty) Kerstetter and Megan (Alex) Hart; son Eric (Michelle) Zigarovich; brother Mark (Judy) Sistik; Grandchildren Logan, Caleb, Gavin, Cameron, and Jordan; Aunt Florence Kundman; sisters-in-law Donna (Marty) Schneider, June (Randy) Cain, Sandy Podkul; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Sistik; brother, Chester Sistik Jr.  Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM in the John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home Inc., 702 7th Street (State Rt. 130) Trafford 412-372-3111. A parting prayer will be at 9:10 AM in the funeral home followed by a funeral service at 10 AM in the Community United Methodist Church, 3487 State Rt. 130, (Penn Township) Irwin PA 15642 at 10 AM.  Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association at www.lbda.org/donate.  www.dobrinickfhinc.com
