Joyce (Brooky) Dymond

Joyce Brooky Dymond, age 81 of Columbia, SC formerly of Trafford passed away on March 3, 2024 in South Carolina. Joyce was born on April 3, 1942 in Pittsburgh the daughter of the late Paul David Brooky and Verna Betty (Waite) Brooky. Joyce was a dedicated nurse. From an early age she knew she wanted to be a nurse and strived hard to achieve her dream. In 1963 Joyce enlisted in the US Army after obtaining her LPN. Later in life she earned her RN Degree while simultaneously working full time and raising her son. She saved lives and helped people to recover her whole life. After she retired, she continued to aid friends and family any way she could. Joyce is survived by her son Ronald Tunstall of Columbia SC; and her siblings James Brooky of Glastonbury CT and Marilyn Freeman of San Antonio, TX. Family and friends will be received on Friday March 22, 2024 for a memorial visitation from 10 AM until the time of a memorial service at 12 Noon in the John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home Inc., 702 7th Street (State Rt. 130) Trafford 412-372-3111 with Rev. Robert J. Marks officiating.
