William Charles Michael

William Charles Michael, age 81, of Penn Twp. passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024.  Bill was born on October 10, 1942 in Pittsburgh, the son of the late Vernon and Virginia K. (Bray) Michael.  Bill was a veteran of the US Army during the Vietnam War, he was a member of American Legion Post 980 in Plum.  Bill retired from the Port Authority of Allegheny County as a driver with 25 years of service, accident free.  “Mr. Bill” was also very active in his family’s business, Sherry’s School of Dance and after retirement he also drove for Penn Pals Child Care Center in Penn Twp. and he was a member of the Norwin Elks Lodge 2313.  Bill is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Sherry C. (Lawson) Michael; his children Will Michael (Brandon Mullen) and Leilani Michael (Kevin Reigh) all of Penn Twp; his grandchildren Olivia Michael, Gabriella Michael and Hudson Michael-Reigh; he is also survived by several in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved cats.  Family and friends will be received on Monday from 4-8 PM in the John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home Inc., 702 7th St. (State Rt. 130) Trafford 412-372-3111.  Funeral services will be on Tuesday at 10 AM in the funeral home with Pastor Joseph O’Brien officiating.
