Michael E. Katinsky

Michael E. Katinsky age 60 of Level Green died Friday, April 5, 2013.  Mike was born on June 10, 1952 in Wilkinsburg the son of the late Michael and Catherine Bouch Katinsky.  Mike was the owner of Complete Building Construction and the Roundtop Stables for over 30 years both in Level Green.  He was a member of the Norwin Elks, the Buck and Bass Club and was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman.  Mike is survived by his wife of 42 years Marcia Schweitzer Katinsky, his children Kerri Katinsky Simpson, Jason Katinsky, and Laura Katinsky and granddaughter Kaylee Simpson all of Level Green; a brother and three sisters Carl Katinsky and Doryce Gobble both of St. Louis MO, Cathy Denorsek of N. Versailles and Pam Katinsky of Westmoreland City.   Family and friends will be received from 2-8 PM on Monday in the John M. Francis J. “Bud” Murray

Francis J. “Bud” Murray Jr., 88, of Trafford passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 2, 2013 surrounded by his family. Bud was a devoted husband to Philomena Vaccaro for 61 years. He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas F. Murray.  He is survived by three daughters, Kathleen Murray, Maureen Case, and Mariane Roach, ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; three sisters Tecky Vecchio (Joe), Marie Kuhns, and Margaret Murray and was predeceased by two sisters Elizabeth Mazur and Joann Green and he is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Bud was born and raised in Trafford.  He was a member of St. Regis Catholic Church for 87 years, many of which were spent as an altar boy, a Veteran of WWII having proudly served his country in China with the 14th Air Force Flying Tigers of the US Army Air Corps.  He worked at Trafford Post Office for 35 years, the last seven as Postmaster, before retiring in 1979.  He was an avid sportsman who loved hunting and fishing and was a member of the Trafford Sportsman Club, the American Legion Post #331, holding the position of Chaplain for numerous years, and the Elks.  Family and friends will be received at the John M. Versailles.  Bud was a devoted husband, father, uncle, and grandpap, and we take great comfort in knowing that he was looking forward to going home to be with the Lord.  He will be greatly missed. Mary Drakulic

Mary Drakulic age 95 of Penn Twp. formerly of Trafford passed away Sunday March 31, 2013 in the Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville.  Mary was born on December 12, 1917 in Trafford the daughter of the late George and Susanna Savchak Kudrick.  Mary was a member of the St. Regis Church, Trafford, an avid bingo player, Penguin Hockey Fan and enjoyed her many trips to Las Vegas and the local casinos.  She will be sadly missed, but always remembered by her loving family and friends.   Mary was preceded in death by her husband Dan (Mitch) Drakulic, her son Daniel and daughter-in-law Mary Anne Drakulic, her sister Ann Charnick and her brothers Michael, John, Steve, George and Andrew Kudrick.  Mary is survived by her sons John and wife Linda of Penn Twp., David of Sterling VA, her daughter-in-law Susan Drakulic, grandchildren Todd, Holly, Stephen and Kevin and her great-grandchildren Karriana and Kayleigh all of Minnesota; a brother Albert Kudrick of Trafford and many nieces and nephews.   Family and friends will be received from 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Thrusday in the John M. Mary Ann Yakubisin

Mary Ann Yakubisin, age 83, of Trafford died Tuesday, March 19, 2013.  Mary Ann was born on September 4, 1929, in Irwin. She was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Lucy Sowash Samery.  She was a member of St. Regis Church, Trafford.  Mary Ann was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Joseph, her son, John, two sisters, Martha Petrill and Margaret Cogar and a brother Nicholas Samery.  Mary  Ann is survived by her children, Joseph E. Yakubisin and wife Beverly of Level Green, Kathleen Washburn of Cooper City FL, and Mary Ann Stoddart and husband David of Wexford; her five grandchildren Michelle and Michael Yakubisin, Jessica Washburn, and Evan and Shelby Stoddart.The family wishes to thank Christine and Cindy for the loving care they provided. Pauline Solanik Kozubal

Pauline S. Kozubal (Solanik) age 88 of Trafford died Sunday, March 17, 2013 in the Golden Heights Personal Care Home, Penn Twp.  Pauline was born on June 20, 1924 in Wilkins Twp. the daughter of the late Alexander and Susana Porado Solanik. Pauline was a member of the St. Regis Church, Trafford.  She was preceded in death by her husband Robert J. Kozubal in 2011, two brothers John and Alex Solanik and a sister Helen Solanik Waters Hoener.  Pauline is survived by her children Robert J. Kozubal and wife Rose and Pauline “Polly” Bray and husband William all of Harrison City; a brother Edward Solanik of Scottsdale AZ and numerous nieces and nephews.  Pauline’s children would like to thank the staff at Golden Heights Personal Care Home and Bridges Hospice, especially Kelly, for their wonderful care of their mom.   Family & friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the John M. Charles A. “Chuck” DeAngellis

Charles A. “Chuck” DeAngellis age 60 of Trafford died Saturday March 9, 2013.  Chuck was born on July 19, 1952 in Wilkinsburg the son of the late Nill and Elizabeth Petrini DeAngellis.  “A MIGHTY WARRIOR OF FAITH” and longtime member of the Covenant Church of Pittsburgh, Chuck embodied the true essence of Christ and his teachings of compassion and love.  These special qualities led to an extraordinary life and rich relationships with everyone who knew him.  In addition to his faith and family, Chuck had many interests including:   golf, shooting pool, music and making people laugh.  In all of these things, Chuck found his “way to true life”. Chuck is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years Mary Nelis DeAngellis, his loving children Charles DeAngellis II and Christina DeAngellis and fiancé Joseph Previte (almost son); his sisters Antonette Barni (the late Joseph Barni), Betty DeAngellis, Charlotte DeSalvo (Joe), Angela DeAngellis and brother and friend Joseph DeAngellis (Maria) and many nieces and nephews.  Family & friends will be received on Sunday from  6-9 PM  and Monday from 2-4 & 6-9 PM in the John M. Norman Earl McIndoe

Norman Earl McIndoe age 81 of Trafford died Friday, March 8, 2013 in the Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville.  Norman was born on August 26, 1931 in Wilkinsburg the son of the late Norman E. and Elsie Simmons McIndoe.  Norman was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the US Army.  He retired from Bell Atlantic and was an avid hunter and fisherman.  Norman was preceded in death by his wife Losi A. McIndoe in 2003, a brother and a sister.  He is survived by his children Terrilyn R. Kilbury and husband Earl of Level Green, Thomas L. McIndoe of CA, and Scott N. McIndoe and wife Debbie of Fryburg PA; six grandchildren Errin Kilbury, Bryan Kilbury, Joshua McIndoe, Amber Viezie, Amanda McIndoe and Jessica McIndoe.  There will be no visitation and all services are private.  The John M. Philomena Antrilli

Philomena Antrilli age 98 of Turtle Creek died on Monday, February 25, 2013 in the UPMC East, Monroeville.  Philomena was born on October 29, 1914 in Braddock the daughter of the late Rocco and Rose Orsini Sartorelli.  Philomena was a member of the St. Robert Bellarmine Church E. McKeesport.  She enjoyed traveling around the world and spending time with her grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her first husband Angelo Greco and her second husband Philip Antrilli, a daughter Helen Colagrande and three sisters Angeline DeFazio, Clara Dippolito and Hilda Sartorelli.  Philomena is survived by her children Joseph Antrilli (Patricia), Virginia Rich (Frank deceased), Edith Wtorkiewicz (Val), Francis Greco (Barbara), Albert Greco (Janice), Rose Marie Greco, Hilda Connolly (Mark) and Dennis Antrilli (Lynne); 31 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren and a sister Helen Dippolito.  Family & friends will be received on Thursday from  7-9 PM  and Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the John M. Richard Dale Walton

Richard Dale Walton age 75 of Pitcairn died on Monday February 25, 2013 in his home.  Richard was born on July 28 1937 in Lewistown PA the son of the late Richard B. and Helen Ruth Schatzer Walton.  Richard was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the US Air Force.  He worked for United Mine and PA Dept. of Transportation before retiring.  Richard was a 32nd Degree Mason with Orient Lodge #683 F& AM in Penn Hills, and a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Lodge Council Chapter Consistory, Valley of Pittsburgh, the AASR Northern Masonic Jurisdiction USA in Pittsburgh, the Shriners International, the White Oak Legion Post #701, The NRA, the AAOH Irish Club of Monroeville,  a Life Member of Braddock Elks Lodge #883 and the Logan’s Ferry Sportsmen’s Club.  He loved camping, swimming, hunting and life and he will be missed by his family and friends.  Richard was preceded in death by his son Richard J. Walton, his sister Shirley Watson and her husband Bob.  Richard is survived by his wife Edwina F. Mance Walton, his children Debra L. Prosser and husband Bob, Edwina D. Nguyen and husband Chac; grandchildren Bobby and Jesse James Prosser, Ashley and Shawn Nguyen, Alexis and Marissa Walton; great-grandfather of Tiara Nguyen and Cameron Nichols; brother-in-law of Betty Jo Shellhammer and husband Tom; and survived by nieces and nephews and he will be missed by his best friend Mia his dog.   Family and friends will be received from 6-8 PM on Wednesday and 2-4 & 6-8 PM on Thursday in John M. Joseph J. Strychalski age 92 a resident of Level Green died on Sunday, February 24, 2013 surrounded by his loving family.  Joe was born on November 25, 1920 the son of the late Andrew and Helen Strychalski.  Joe was a veteran of WWII serving with the US Army, a retiree of Westinghouse Electric and was a member of the Trafford American Legion Post 331.  Joe was preceded in death by his son Theodore Strychalski and seven brothers and sisters.  Joe is survived by his wife of 68 years Mary Wawszkowicz Strychalski, three daughters Marsha Noel (Richard), Linda Taylor (James) and Shirley Goss (Daniel); nine grandchildren Lori (Strychalski) Ames, David Strychalski, Richard Noel, Shellie (Noel) Vautard, James Taylor, Sherri Noel, Jeffrey Taylor, Garrett and Nathan Goss; 14 Great-grandchildren; a brother Stanley Strychalski and a sister Mary Beliczk.  Family and friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 PM on Tuesday in the John M.
