Fred L. Belmondo

Fred L. Belmondo age 87 of Trafford died Monday, January 9, 2012 in the Golden Living Center, Monroeville.  Fred was born on December 4, 1924 in Muse PA the son of the late Eli and Elisa Mathieux Belmondo.  Fred was a veteran of WWII serving with the US Army.  He was a Corporal serving in Company C, 143rd Infantry.  He was captured in France and was a POW in Germany from September 22, 1944 until May 26, 1945.  He was in several battles during WWII, Central Europe, Rome, Arno, Southern France and Rhineland.  He was awarded several decorations and citations such as European African Middle Eastern Ribbon with Four Battle Stars, WWII Victory Medal and the Combat Infantryman Badge.  Fred retired from Valley Auto Parts in Wilmerding with over 50 years of service.  He was a member of the St. Regis Church, Trafford, and after retirement he enjoyed gardening and watching his grandson Joshua run cross country.   Fred was preceded in death by his brother Carl Belmondo, a sister Millie E. Martinelli and numerous brothers and sisters-in law. Fred is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Helen Fontinello Belmondo, his children; Maria Christopher (husband Frank deceased) of Irwin, Fred J. Belmondo and wife Paula of Level Green and James J. Belmondo and wife Mary of Gibsonia; his grandchildren Lisa and Joshua Christopher and Paul and Greg Belmondo; and a sister Mary Rendulich and husband Matt of Rilton and numerous nieces and nephews.  Family and friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 PM on Wednesday in the John M. Dorothy (Bonacci) Iovino

Dorothy (Bonacci) Iovino age 102, born June 9, 1909 in Pastorano, Italy of Harrison City died Wed. Jan. 4, 2012.   She was the daughter of the late Carmella and Antonio Bonnacci.  Beloved wife of the late Giovanni Iovino; loving mother of Antonio (surviving Helen) Iovino, Francesco (Frank) (Mary Ann) Iovino, the late Salvatore (Sam) and late Mary Catherine Iovino, Carmen (Marcella) Iovino, Philamena Iovino and Frances (Keith) Kitterman.  Loving grandmother of 15, great-grandmother of 27 and great-great-grandmother of 5.  Dear sister of the late Nick, Antonio (Mac Jr.) Bonacci and Elizabeth (Diana) Bonacci.  Family & friends received from 3-8 PM on Friday in the John M. Erma Jean Osborne

Erma Jean Osborne age 86 of N. Versailles died Monday, December 26, 2011 in the Golden Living Center, Monroeville.  Erma was born on September 14, 1925 the daughter of the late William Walter and Minnie Lee Flint Morris. Erma was preceded in death by her husband Ernest H. Osborne, 16 brothers and 4 sisters. Caroline B. Anderson

Caroline B. Anderson age 100 of Level Green died at home on Thursday, December 1, 2011.  Caroline was born on October 7, 1911 in New Salem, North Dakota the daughter of the late Frederick and Anna Affleck. She was preceded in death by her husband Henry P. Anderson in 1985 and a brother Robert Affleck.  She is survived by her sons Henry G. and wife Carol of Greensburg, and Jerome F., and wife JoAnne of Sequim, WA; three grandchildren Henry C. and wife Lori of North Carolina, Kenneth of Belle Vernon, and Robert of Washington State; four great-grandchildren Joe, John, Joyce, and Mitchell.  Family and friends will be received from 3-7 PM on Monday in the John M. Bertha J. Hearp

Bertha J. Hearp age 97 of Level Green died Monday, November 29, 2011 in the William Penn Care Center, Penn Twp.  Bertha was born on March 17, 1914 in McKees Rocks the daughter of the late Wilson and Julia McKissick.     Bertha was a member of the Level Green Presbyterian Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband John T. Hearp and several brothers and sisters.  She is survived by her children Joan Bush of Coraopolis, John Hearp and companion Kathy Rickle of Pittsburgh, and Charles Hearp of Level Green; three grandchildren Ed and Dave Bush, Kristin Barriga; four great-grandchildren Letitia and Amberly Bush, her special great-granddaughter who she lived with Katie Saucedo and Joseph Wolfson.  Family and friends will be received from 1-3 and 6-8 PM on Wednesday in the John M. Naomi J. Capan

Naomi Jane Frye Capan age 76 of Trafford died Friday, November 25, 2011 in her home.  Naomi was born on January 5, 1935 in Johnstown the daughter of the late Elneth and Ruth Dimond Frye.  Naomi was a member of the St. Regis Church, Trafford.  She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Capan in 2005.  She is survived by her special friends who helped care for her, Shirley and Lawrence Glasgow of Harrison City and Don and Josie Ammon, Marian Caruso, and Virginia Salany all of Trafford.    Family and friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8  PM on Sunday in the John M. Alex Cynkar

Alex  Cynkar  86  of  Trafford, died  November 25, 2011 in the Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville. He was born September 2, 1925 in Trafford  the son of the late Joseph and Amelia Lenart Cynkar.He was a member of St. Regis Church He was a retired employee of  Westinghouse Electric in, Trafford . A veteran of WW II servings in the US Navy. A member of the American Post 331  of Trafford. The V.F.W. of Irwin and the Moose of East Pittsburgh and Polish Club of Trafford. Virginia Elizabeth Ayres Holden

Virginia Elizabeth Ayres Holden age 97 of Monroeville, formerly of Manor and Level Green died Monday, November 21, 2011 in the Independence Court, Monroeville.  Virginia was born on January 17, 1914 in Swissvale the daughter of the late George Lloyd and Jeannette Belle Wylie Ayres.  Virginia was retired from the US Dept. of the Interior.  She was a member and Past Worthy Matron of Order of Eastern Star, Corinth Chapter 229 Pitcairn, she was a member of the Manor Carl Leroy McKelvey Legion Auxiliary Post 472 since 1949.  She was Pennsylvania’s Department President in 1967-68, served as National Poppy Chairman with the Legion Auxiliary from 1968-69.  She was a Gold Star Sister because her brother Gordon Ayres died in the Battle of the Bulge.  Virginia was a Friend of TRACE (Trans Atlantic Children’s Enterprise) an organization in England that searched for American servicemen fathers of children left behind after WWII.  As recognized by the American Legion Auxiliary, Virginia was a Pennsylvania Angel in Action for all her good works and as she sewed countless white towel bibs and neck pillows for hospitalized veterans throughout the years and has some waiting to be finished.  Virginia was the last surviving member of her siblings.  She was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters George Luther Ayres, Violet Ruth Reed, Ralph Clark Ayres, Dorothy Lillian Ayres, Donald Robert Ayres, Jeannette Margaret Ayres, Gordon Wylie Ayres, Francis Ball Ayres, Robert Lloyd Ayres, Harold Lesley Ayres and Helen Louise Burke.  Virginia is survived by her husband of 61 years Vincent A. Holden; nephews, nieces and special friends who helped care for her and her husband.  Family and friends will be received from 10 AM until an Eastern Star Service at 12:45 PM Tuesday, followed by the funeral service at 1PM in the John M. James P. Burnett

James P. Burnett age 90 of Trafford died Tuesday, November 15, 2011 in the Forbes Hospice, Pittsburgh. Jim was born on May 6, 1921 in Trafford the son of the late Michael and Rose Jenets Burnett.  Jim was a veteran of WWII serving with the US Army in the 378th Infantry Regiment.  He retired from Westinghouse Electric Corp. in Trafford as a Cello Graph Tester after 43 years of service.  He was a member of the St. Regis Church, Trafford, the Trafford Sr. Citizens, Alley West Sr. Citizens of Monroeville, the Italian Club and American Legion Post 331 both of Trafford, the Irwin American Legion, AARP and he loved traveling, shopping, movies, music, gardening and canning sweet peppers from his garden.  Jim was preceded in death by his wife of 65years Ann E. Sebest Burnett in 2010, his son Allan M. Burnett in 1993, a brother William Burnett and a sister Margaret Hartland.  Jim is survived by his son Ronald R. Frederick L. Linderman

Frederick L. Linderman age 73 of Trafford died Sunday, November 6, 2011 in the Baldock Health Care Centre, N. Huntingdon.  Fred was born on April 28, 1938 in Trafford the son of the late John and Sophie Beck Linderman.  Fred was a veteran of the US Army, a member of the St. Colman Church, Turtle Creek and was retired from Westinghouse Printing in Trafford.  He also loved the outdoors, fishing and loved spending time with his grandchildren and family.  Fred is survived by his wife of 51 Years Leslie Currie Linderman, his children, Wendy Gillooly and husband Greg and their daughter Erin of Peters Twp., Brian F.
