Donald Gene Cymmerman Jr.

CymmermanDonald Gene Cymmerman Jr. age 32 passed away on October 10, 2014 at his home in McKeesport of apparent heart problems.  He is survived by his loving mother, Antionette (Smith) Calder and step-father, Warren Calder ; his father, Donald G. Cymmerman, fiancé, Christina Shank and his only son, Shane Anthony Cymmerman; his maternal grandmother, Antoinette Smith and finally his only brother and best friend, Anthony R. Smith.  He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  He was a commercial truck driver at the time of his passing and will be remembered for his comedic comments and always trying to make difficult times easy to handle.  He will forever be in our hearts, prayers and thoughts.  He is at peace and at his mansion in heaven.  A memorial visitation will be on Tuesday from 5-8 PM in the John M. Georg F. Racki Jr.

George F. Racki Jr. age 87 of Trafford passed away on Friday, September 12, 2014 in the Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville.  George was born on November 17, 1926 in Wilmerding the son of the late George F. and Rose (Skedel) Racki.  Prior to retirement George worked as a shipper with the Westinghouse Air Brake Co. in Wilmerding.  He was a veteran of WWII with the Navy serving on the USS Warrington.  He was a 50 year member of the Trafford American Legion Post 331 where he served as Past Commander and Steward.  He was a member of the Weeping Willow Camp where he loved to hunt, fish and was he was an avid Pittsburgh Sports Fan.  George was preceded in death by his brother Joseph Racki and sisters Evelyn Bukovac and Rose Marie Johnson.  George is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Elizabeth “Betty” Frydrych Racki, his daughter Karen and his son Thomas (Sydney) Racki all of Penn Twp.; his three grandchildren Caitlin, Ryan and Adam and a special friend whom he thought of as his adopted son Todd Krusey and several nieces and nephews.  Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 2-6 PM in the John M. Ann V. (Doyle) Matura

Ann V. (Doyle) Matura age 92 of Greensburg, formerly of Level Green passed away on Monday September 15, 2014 in the Newhaven Court at Lindwood Hempfield Twp.  Ann was born on August 11, 1922 in Greensburg the daughter of the late Beno and Augusta (Vincent) Lantermo.  Ann was retired from Westinghouse Electric in E. Pittsburgh and was a member of the Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in Murrysville.  Ann was preceded in death by her husband John M. Matura in 2010.  Ann is survived by her son Dennis Doyle (Joanne) of Greensburg; her grandchildren Allison Grindle (Col. Charles Grindle, US Army) of Carlisle; her two great-grandchildren Caroline and Claire Grindle; her step-son Tom Matura (Christine) of Homestead; her brother Donald P. Lantermo of Hempfield Twp. and a special niece Diana Miller (Butch) of Irwin.  There will be no visitation. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 19, 2014 at 10 AM in the Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 4202 Old William Penn Highway, Murrysville with Msgr. Henry E. “Hank” Podkul

PodkulHenry “Hank” E. Podkul age 71 of Trafford passed away on Monday, September 22, 2014 in the Forbes Regional Hospital Monroeville. Hank was born on March 26, 1943 in Wilkinsburg the son of the late Jesse and Helen (Whitco) Podkul. Hank was retired from WABCO in Wilmerding and was currently employed by the Monroeville Convention Center. Hank loved spending time with his grandkids and attending their sporting events. He was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed playing golf with his son, his brother, and his friends in their league at Irwin Country Club. Hank spent many years coaching his kids’ baseball, softball, and football teams in Trafford and Pitcairn. He was a member of the St. Regis Church in Trafford. Hank is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Sandra “Sandy” (Zigarovich) Podkul; his children Mark Podkul (Kelly) of Greensburg; Dawn Blank (Jeff) of Jeannette; his grandchildren Allison, Morgan, and Sarah Podkul; Cody and Jack Blank; and his brother Stanley Podkul (Barbara) of Allen Park, MI. MirelesDiana (Miholovich) Mireles age 89 of Monroeville passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2014.  Diana was born on February 1, 1925 in Renton, PA the daughter of the late Peter and Mildred (Evanovich) Miholovich.  Diana was a member of the St. Nicholas Serbian Church, SNPJ Lodge 629 and she retired from Precise Metals and Plastics.  She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Mireles, her siblings Pete “Rade” Miholovich, Joseph Miholovich, Angie Vracar, Mary Visnic, Eli Miholovich, John Miholovich, Mildred Adams.  She is survived by her children Theodore Babich (Bernadette) of Trafford, Mona Robertson of Monroeville, Eli Mireles (Rene) of Monroeville, Victor Mireles of Maryland, Rody Mireles (Margaret) Monroeville, David Mireles (Sandy) of Level Green; 13 Grandchildren, 11 Great-grandchildren and her two sisters Dorothy Pugliano of  Monroeville and Catherine Mignogna of Ligonier and her brother Mitch Miholovich of Level Green and numerous nieces and nephews.  Family and friends will be received from 3-9 PM on Tuesday and Wednesday in the John M. Henry S. Cynkar age 87 of Trafford passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 4, 2014 in the Woodhaven Care Center Monroeville.   Henry was born on March 30, 1927 in Trafford the son of the late Joseph and Amelia (Lenart) Cynkar.  Henry was retired from Giant Eagle as a Butcher.  He was a veteran of WWII serving with the Army and a member of the St. Regis Church Trafford.  Henry was preceded in death by his brother Alex Cynkar.  He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Stella A. (Levitsky) Cynkar; his children JoAnn Molnar (Bob) of Alexandria VA, Henry J. Cynkar of Apollo, James Cynkar (Darla) of Level Green, Thomas Cynkar (Rhonda) of Ellicott City, MD and Ann Marie Sardineer (Darrin) of Trafford; his six grandchildren Hunter Anne and Noah Cynkar, Pamela Molnar, Zachary, Natalie and Emily Cynkar; his sister Josephine McCracken (George); numerous nieces, nephews, great- nieces and nephews.  There will be no visitation.  A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10AM in the St. Regis Church with Fr. Judy A. (Liller) Muentzer age 69 of Trafford passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2014 in UPMC East Monroeville.  Judy was born on November 15, 1944 in Braddock the daughter of the late Harry and Dorothy (Robertson) Liller.  She was preceded in death by her two brothers Harry and Samuel Liller.  She is survived by her children Deborah Liller of Trafford, Tammy Fix (Dennis) of N. Huntingdon, Charles Russell (Carol) of St. Petersburg FL and Carol Henderson (Brian) of N. Huntingdon; her grandchildren Michael, Dennis and Chelsy Fix, Kevin and Emily Henderson and Devyn Russell; her siblings Mary Naser, Sarah Bayer and Agnes Galla all of N. Huntingdon and Harold Liller of Canton OH; and survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  Family and friends will be received from 4-8PM on Tuesday in the John M. Joseph C. Scott age 82 of Trafford passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 in the Golden Living Center Monroeville. Joseph was born on December 5, 1931 in Pittsburgh the son of the late Edward and Lydia (Cromie) Scott. He grew up in East Liberty and graduated from Peabody High School. Joseph was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the Army. He was actively involved in the Level Green community, including coaching and expanding the athletic association to include girls’ softball. He was a retired insurance agent and member of the St. Regis Church Trafford. In retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Joseph was preceded in death by his wife Genevieve G. Scott in 2012, his son Jeffrey Scott and his wife Susan, three brothers Wally, Harold, and Edward Scott and a sister Margaret Trabits. Joseph is survived by his children Pam Phalin (Tom) of Bethel Park, Joe Scott (Jane) of Saginaw MI, Janet Jupena (Bruce) of Level Green and Suzanne Kalna (Scott) of West Newton and his seven grandchildren Joshua Scott, Virginia “Ginny” Scott, Jordan, Jarad, and Jevin Jupena, and twins Wyatt and Chloe Kalna. There will be no visitation. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, September 8, 2014 at 10 AM in the St. Regis Church, 517 Homewood Ave. Trafford.
